Current Sermon Series: Kings Behaving Badly
.
Updated: Dec 6, 2016
How relevant is the Old Testament? Does it make sense for today? Is there anything we can learn from an ancient culture 3000 years old? In our current series, "Kings Behaving Badly" we will show how the Old Testament is as relevant and practical today as it was in the time it was written. We will study the lives of a select group of Old Testament kings who behaved badly, and we will learn life lessons for today from their fatal flaws. Some of the upcoming topics include: Fatal Attraction (addiction), Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely (abuse of power), Blood on His Hands (violence), Setting Up High Places (privatized religion), Created in My Image (idols), Playing Both Sides (not certain about God), and more. All are welcome to attend this new and exciting study of some of the worst Old Testament kings who behaved badly. Bible classes for all ages begins at 9:30 am Sabbath (Saturday) morning and the worship service begins at 10:50 am. We hope to see you there!
